The Dream: 50 Years Later

Come join the DuSable Museum as we celebrate the life and accomplishments of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Doors open at 9:00 am with a welcome and performance featuring Oakdale Covenant Church’s Children’s Choir beginning at 10:00 am.
During this day-long event, you and your family will have the opportunity to enjoy arts and crafts, archival workshops, and Storytime opportunities with special book giveaways for your younger children. We also have live stage performances featuring Joan Collaso, Marcus Gentry, and Congo Square Theater.
Additionally, we are happy to announce that the Monarch Awards Foundation will be sponsoring the event to allow our first 500 visitors free admission!
Finally, we are proud to announce a soft launch of our new mobile app sponsored by Arm23 and Chicago Teacher’s Union Foundation. Experience DuSable Digitally on January 15th during King Day!
