Join Chicago-based curator and arts facilitator, Adia Sykes, for a workshop and conversation which looks to the intersection of curatorial practice, improvised performance and social dancing. Trained as both a curator and practitioner of Argentine tango, Adia will lead a discussion on improvisation as a care-based practice, followed by a live tango lesson. No partner is required.
All participants are invited to our Discord channel to share special projects, discussions and resources produced in connection with the series. Suggestion readings and videos will be sent by the guest in advance of this session.
