Spudnik Press invites you to the opening reception of PRESSed together, a group exhibition that connects communities through print, on Friday, March 14 from 5-8pm. The show features monotype prints by the inaugural cohort of the Spudnik Press Community Mentorship Program. The inaugural cohort is made up of 8 artists from Arts of Life and Latitude Chicago who engaged in 6 weekly sessions of monotype printing with teaching artist Anders Zanichkowsky. Working iteratively one-of-a-kind prints were created for the culminating exhibition.

The show features work by Joshi Radin Flores, Steve Harhaj, Kelly Kristin Jones, Colleen Keihm, Alysha Kostelny, Nyeema Morgan, Alex Scott, and Candace Turner.

PRESSed together will be on view from March 14, 2025 through April 12, 2025 at Spudnik Press, 1821 W. Hubbard Street, Suite 302, Chicago, IL 60622. Visitors can make an appointment by emailing info@spudnikpress.org. Please include the date and time you would like to visit, and number of people in your party. Visits can be typically accommodated between 10am-6pm Monday to Saturday and occasional weeknights. The curated prints from the program duration will be for sale, benefiting participating artists, Arts of Life, Latitude Chicago, and Spudnik Press.

Participating Organizations:

Arts of Life is a Chicago organization that advances the creative arts community by providing artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities a collective space to expand their practice and strengthen their leadership skills.

Latitude Chicago is a nonprofit community digital lab in Chicago that maintains high-end printing and scanning equipment, processes 35mm and 120 color negative film, operates an artist in residence program, and organizes ongoing arts programming.

Spudnik Press is a community-based art center located in a warehouse-turned-arts hub in West Town, Chicago. Unique in its dedication to printmaking art and beyond, our studio houses professional facilities and rare equipment for a wide variety of traditional print processes and fine art publishing. Our 4800 sq.ft. studio includes shared work space, private studios and mixed-use spaces for exhibitions, classes and community events.

Spudnik Press continues to provide minimal barriers to well-maintained and robust facilities and a gallery while establishing a rich community of artists and art-consumers engaged in the vibrant landscape of fine art printmaking.
