Anti-Valentine’s Day Party
@ National Museum of Mexican Art
1852 W 19th St, Chicago, IL 60608
Opening Friday, February 7th, from 6PM - 9PM
The Museum’s youth initiative, Yollocalli Arts Reach presents the Anti-Valentine’s Day Party. Join us for a fun night of music, food, dancing, and artmaking. This event is for teens and young adults under 25 years old and focuses on sexual health, healthy relationships, and LGBTQIA issues. The Anti-Valentine’s Day Party is intended to provide young people with a safe environment where they will not feel the social stigmas or financial burden of getting factual, up-to-date information and resources regarding their health.
Plus, make your own personalized valentines, masquerade mask, and explore our galleries after hours. Close the night by dancing away with DJ OCELOMAITL. Free pizza, nachos, and dessert will be served.
Yollocalli aims to give young people the tools they need to make informed, safe, and healthy decisions. Therefore, as a safety precaution, adult attendance is NOT encouraged, but chaperones are welcome, if necessary.
Priority seating will be available for those who need it. Visitor parking is available in the Ray Castro Parking Lot and Plaza, located on the east side of the Museum. The lot is open daily from 8:00 am – 11:00 pm at a rate of $3 per hour and has two accessible parking spaces adjacent to the building. Visit our Accessibility page for more details.
This event is free, but registration is encouraged.
