In Final Fantasía, LaNia Sproles and Juan Arango Palacios explore concepts of fantasy and world-building to create queer stories about their lives. The fantasies lie in the spoken and the unsaid. The work allows viewers to engage with the imagery to add to the artwork’s narratives. Both artists use techniques of layering, collage, figuration, use of color, and craft techniques to tell queer stories.
