About the Artist
Zacbe Pichardo is a Chicago performer, composer, and educator native to Mexico City. He is versatile in a variety of musical instruments. including harp, accordion, guitar, percussion, and zapateado. In 2007 and 2008 he was nominated for two GRAMMY® Awards and has also won four Chicago Music Awards. He performs with the Sones de Mexico ensembles, Ida y Vuelta, and Third Coast Baroque, and also freelances and leads the cumbia band “Guapachosos.”
