Opening Sunday, April 19th, from 2PM - 3:15PM
Furthering the Dialogue Series on inheritance, and coinciding on the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, this open conversation with visitors asks us to consider the environmental realities we are leaving for the next generation. Artist Pope.L invites collaborators from Flint, Michigan, who are dealing first hand with their water crisis, and local environmental activists here in Chicago including artist Jenny Kendler and scholar Rachel Havrelock to envision an alternate future for our children to inherit.
About the Series
The Dialogue Series is a museum-wide commitment to sustained inquiry about museum practice, access, and inclusion. Each annual series includes eminent speakers presenting innovative work happening across disciplines, panel discussions, and opportunities for open dialogue between local arts professionals and audiences. Dialogue is organized by Curator January Parkos Arnall with the Performance and Public Practice team.
