Opening Thursday, June 6th, from 8PM - 10PM
On view through Friday, June 7th
An evening of experimental performance.
Scott Crandall, Detroit-based performance artist, presents VISIONS FOR THE END OF THE WORLD.
A doomsday prophet’s series of apocalyptical visions. Energetic dance routines, desperate prayer, sea shanties and shipwrecks, each tied together with poetic dialogue, vigorous physicality, and delicately crafted stage images.
Corey Smith and Claire Saxe present AN ABRIDGED HISTORY OF THE TALLEST BUILDINGS IN THE MIDWEST.
Within a region defined by its flatness, what to make of the hubristic optimism of a tall building? One part history, one part Midwestern cultural criticism, one part poetry. This piece is an adaptation of an essay in the forthcoming anthology, âMidwest Architecture Journeysâ from Belt Publishing.
