Material, painterly responses to observed forms and experienced emotions, the works in this exhibition offer distinct propositions for connecting to the body. Where is the line between descriptive gesture and visceral assertion? Between recognizable and intuited content? The artists in Prospect No. 1 position themselves within these inquiries, offering responses and prompting further questions through their work.
