Opening Tuesday, October 9th, from 7:30PM - 8:30PM
On view through Saturday, November 3rd
Join us for a conversation and screening with filmmaker LaurynBlythe. Lauryn will screen some short films and talk about her inspiration behind her work, her creative process and working in the film business. Lauryn has been collaborating with Stephanie on the visuals on the stephtalksproper project, and Stephanie simply thought Lauryn should share her work, so that’s what we are doing.
Please come to see films, talk movies, and have a good time.
Since a young girl filmmaker, LaurynBlythe has had an interest in playing music and writing short stories. Realizing these things to be her passion, Lauryn began her career in the film business working on projects such as the Oprah Winfrey Show, Boss, Divergent, Transformers, and Chicago PD.
Lauryn enjoys the creative process, challenging ideas of societal norms, and the mundane. No matter how big, small, quirky or straightforward the film at hand, as a director, Lauryn’s visual expression encapsulates everything from cheerful and comedic, all the way to melancholy and heartfelt.
This talk is in conjunction with the current exhibit StephTalksProper: Journey of a Rap Star
