Tara Zanzig: EGO
@ Riverside Arts Center + Freeark Gallery
32 E Quincy St, Riverside, IL 60546
Opening Saturday, September 8th, from 1PM - 10PM
On view through Sunday, September 9th
RAC’s FlexSpace is pleased to debut a recent series of gritty analog quality works on canvas and paper by Tara Zanzig. In a style referencing 90s’ era of photocopied punk flyers and zines, the pieces for this exhibition draw inspiration from psychological effects related to media’s presence and function.
Tara Zanzig is a Chicago based, mixed media artist who work focuses on the process of hand created and pulled screen prints. With a Pop influence and punk aesthetic, her work seeks meaning in a commercially driven society through the exploration of its icons & idols.
The pop up exhibition will run for one weekend, according to the following schedule:
9/8, 1-3pm: Artist Talk & Workshop, Screen Print Techniques for Large Scale Works
9/8, 6-10pm: Exhibition Opening
9/9, 3-6pm: Gallery Hours
