HALEY FOHR of music group CIRCUIT DES YEUX does an intimate, in-gallery solo vocal performance in response to the museum’s Ando Gallery.
Presented by the Art Institute and Empty Bottle.
Artists Connect is a new series of in-gallery programs that highlight the creative process. Artists, poets, dancers, and musicians engage with works of art, making connections to their own practice and inspiring new ways of understanding the Art Institute’s collection.
*Museum admission is free for Illinois residents every Thursday, 5:00–8:00—including during this event.

Vocalist, composer, and producer HALEY FOHR has been performing as CIRCUIT DES YEUX since she was eighteen years old and has released records regularly over the past decades: four full-length albums, along with several mini-albums and singles. Meanwhile, she has played shows everywhere, touring all the time. She has been based in Chicago since 2012.
CIRCUIT DES YEUX is an ardent collaborator, numbering Glenn Branca, Lee Ranaldo, Bill Orcutt, Bitchin Bajas, Bonny ‘Prince’ Billy, and Olivia Block among her fellow performers. All we can tell you in addition is that she has a four-octave range—at least on days when it isn’t raining.
