Circle Contemporary presents Something Else, a group show featuring three artists from The Arts of Life studio and three Chicago-based artists, co-curated by Allison Wade and The Arts of Life curatorial committee. The work presented evokes other worldliness while remaining grounded in a distinct sense of place. The playfulness of these invented spaces – both abstract and representational – never overshadows their earnestness. In the vibrant paintings, drawings, and sculptures of Something Else, one experiences wishful thinking, materially manifested.
