SOARS is the story of one woman’s journey of finding her voice and reclaiming her body, sexuality, and self- esteem after being sexually assaulted in college. Featuring the music of Nina Simone, the photography and poetry of founders Scheherazade Tillet and activist Salamishah Tillet, and a diverse cast of Broadway dancers and award-winning women artists. SOARS shows how the shame, guilt and self-blame that rape victims too often experience can be eased and that the stories of rape survivors can be one of triumph and hope.
