Teresa Getty’s current series of large works on linen, “Reminders of memories I have never had” creates a look back into the history of the WPA through a distilled abstracted lens, simultaneously bringing the history of that era into a contemporary conversation through the language of painted and drawn mark. Our relation to time and our connections based on life experience are the inspiration for Teresa Getty works.
