Since 2011, BOLT Residency has supported some of the most innovative emerging artists working in Chicago today. This year, the Chicago Artists Coalition is proud to present Leonard Suryajaya in dialogue with Tricia Van Eck, Founder and Director 6018North. Suryajaya will reflect on his installation and creative process in his ongoing conversation with motherhood, desire, identity, and allegiance in a globalized world and marketplace. These complex expressions provoke an experience of order amid chaos through photography, video, and pattern. This exhibition was organized by Yesomi Umolu, Curator of the Logan Center for the Arts.
