3-5 PM: NEW EXHIBITIONS RECEPTION: PAUL MPAGI SEPUYA AND TINA TAHIR
“Some Recent Pictures (Chicago)” – The Los Angeles-based artist Paul Mpagi Sepuya (2014 Jackman Goldwasser Resident), presents work connected to his residency at the Hyde Park Art Center.
“Orchid Field” – Tina Tahir transforms the narrow passageway of Gallery 2 into an immersive painted site-specific installation of invasive vegetation that visitors will have to walk on, through and between all at once.
3-5 PM: OPEN STUDIOS
Meet the current Jackman Goldwasser International Visiting Artist Suhasini Kejriwal as she opens studio doors along with our long term resident artists.
3:30-4:30 PM: CONVERSATIONS WITH PAUL MPAGI SEPUYA AND IVAN LOZANO
Paul Mpagi Sepuya discusses his latest work in conversation with colleague and artist, Ivan Lozano. Come experience, learn, and ask questions about their work.
