HONK IF YOU LOVE PAINTING is a drive by, site responsive installation for Terrain by Anna Kunz. It started as an i phone photo made into a collage on paper that turned into a digital image, that turned into a banner, that hung outside a museum, that got folded up and stored in a garage, that got opened up, reused, and stretched onto a structure and was painted on site for Sabina Ott’s house and for Saul, the mailman, the people across the street, and the ones that stop their cars or slow down longer than three seconds to see what the hell is going on. HONK!
Anna Kunz is an internationally exhibiting artist living and working in Chicago, IL. She is known for her enthusiastic use of material, her painterly abstractions and her ability to alter our perceptions through vibrating color.
